Baltimore's source for American and European art pottery & studio ceramics, fine paintings and original prints, lighting, and other 20th Century decorative objects.
The 20th Century Gallery is owned and operated by long-time Baltimore resident Steven Stegner and features one of the best selections of American, European and Scandinavian art pottery, studio ceramics and other 20th Century decorative arts in the Mid Atlantic region. Most pottery styles and movements of the past century are represented, including the arts and crafts era, industrial artwares of the depression to the 50s, mid-century modernist designs, and studio made creations of the 40s to the 70s. The shop also features fine art, paintings, prints, modern design furniture and lighting. Baltimore artists are emphasised and many examples of Baltimore made works are presented, including work by potter Olin Russum (1919-1999).
If you would like to plan a visit to the Gallery, please see "contact" info in order to call ahead. Hours of operation are variable. The Gallery is located on Baltimore's historic Antique Row, where a concentration of shops and dealers carry a wide variety of media and vintages of antiques and art. Antique Row is located near the Washington Monument, Walters Art Museum, Maryland Historical Society, and the Maryland Institute College of Art.
