Grand Central's origins go back to September 12th, 1991, when owner Don Davis purchased a historic Baltimore Townhouse and opened Central Station Pub. On February 5, 2003, the adjacent property (home to the former "Stagecoach") was purchased, and a major renovation was undertaken, adding an expansive double bar "disco" with state-of-the-art dance floor, sound and lighting systems, and an additional upstairs lounge. In keeping with the major improvements and new facilities, the club was renamed Grand Central.

Nestled in the heart of historic Mount Vernon (within walking distance of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, Penn Station, the Walters Art Museum and other Baltimore cultural institutions), Grand Central quickly established itself as the cornerstone of trendy, upscale nightlife in Baltimore city.
