La Defensoria de los Habitantes' mission is to Protect the inhabitants and the inhabitants against the actions and omissions of the Public Sector, through a control of legality, justice and ethics through the prevention, defense, promotion and disclosure of their rights and interests.
We will be a dynamic and strengthened institution; accessible and regionalized, with legitimacy and incidence throughout the country; efficient in the use of the tools of the legal system; innovative of its intervention strategies so that they are in accordance with the national reality; thus contributing to the improvement of public sector management and the quality of life of the inhabitants
