In December 1978, David M. Mancuso Antiques opened its doors in the historic former Solebury Baptist Church on Route 202 in New Hope, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Davids interest in antiques started at an early age when as a teenager, he started frequenting antiques shops. Antiques soon became his passion and it wasn't long until he started buying and selling throughout the northeast.
'I used to go to the Brimfield, Massachusetts markets and camp out in the back of my van with my Golden Retriever, Rusty,' recalled Mancuso.'I opened my first shop in the mid-seventies in Red Bank, New Jersey.'
At age 21, the young entrepreneur discovered Bucks County and its vibrant antiques and art scene. One year later, he opened his shop at the Old Church.
