At The Center, we like to say we create vibrant community by helping LGBTQ people along their way, wherever they might be in life?s journey. Even better, we like to live it, breathe it, and do it. If you?re looking to meet new friends, get resources, or enrich your life and your place in community, you?ve come to the right place.

Based in the Coachella Valley, we serve people of all ages, totaling more than 67,000 visits annually. You might ask how we attract so many people? Great question! We do that with meaningful, relevant and mission-focused programming that addresses our three strategic initiatives:

• Ending Isolation & Loneliness
• Connecting People to Resources & Community
• Enriching Our Individual & Collective Experiences

To do this, we partner with community organizations and host programming to provide safety net services, empowerment, physical health, mental & emotional health, social & fun programs, and life enrichment activities. These programs and services include:

• The Behavioral Health Clinic @ The Center
• Trans Tuesdays, our trans-specific programming
• LGBTQ+ community spaces in the Eastern Coachella Valley for young Latinx people
• a partnership with Palm Springs Unified School District to offer The Center?s Suicide Prevention and Anti-Bullying curriculum to every ninth-grade student in the district
• The Community Food Bank @ The Center
• extensive social and recreational offerings like the monthly Center Social
• the David Bohnett CyberCenter
• a growing volunteer program,
• and special events in the community.

We are the only non-profit community center run by and for all LGBTQ+ people of all ages in the Eastern Riverside County. Financially, we receive support from across the desert communities, which includes local municipalities, foundation grants, individual and business memberships, special events, and gifts from friends who support the LGBTQ+ community, including our sustaining donors from the Ocotillo Club.
