There are currently about 80 member families in the San Francisco chapter' about 20-30 members and visitors attend our monthly meetings. We break into small peer-led support groups for the first hour and then gather for a presentation (speaker, video, etc.). Recent topics include: Gay/Straight Alliances in high schools, the challenges of religious schools, and the Prop 8 campaign. Booklets from PFLAG about family and coming out issues are always available, along with information from other resources in our local communities. We bring our free lending library to each meeting. Refreshments are served during the break between discussion groups and the program.
